Belhaven community celebrates National Coffee Day

Oktoberfest returns to Pearl for another year

Weddle takes oath of office as new Mississippi Court of Appeals judge
SUMMARY: Judge John Wed was officially sworn in as a Mississippi Court of Appeals judge this afternoon after being appointed by Governor Tate Reeves last September. The ceremony was attended by family, friends, and colleagues, celebrating his three decades of legal experience, including his recent role as district attorney for the First Circuit Judicial District since 2015. He has also been a public defender and served on the Mississippi Corrections and Criminal Justice Task Force. Judge Wed succeeds Judge Jim Greenley, and his official term will begin on October 14th. He expressed determination to embrace new challenges as he takes on this role.

Brantley Gilbert's baby is born during concert in Tupelo
SUMMARY: Country singer Brantley Gilbert interrupted his concert at the Cadence Bank Arena to assist his wife Amber in delivering their third child. While performing, he was called backstage as Amber went into labor and ultimately delivered their baby on the tour bus.
