Hattiesburg Zoo now offering on-site sustainability option on permanent basis
SUMMARY: The Hattiesburg Zoo is offering a chance to win school supplies by dropping off items for recycling. By providing permanent sustainability stations, the zoo aims to promote better conservation efforts. In the past, they accepted Mardi Gras beads and other items, but now they are accepting items like flip flops and even cell phones. Zoo leaders say they had a positive experience with recycling in the past, leading them to make this recycling station permanent. This is a step towards a greener future and the response from the public has been encouraging. People are encouraged to drop off items they no longer need.
