Habitat for Humanity is celebrating a huge milestone in northeast Mississippi
SUMMARY: Habitat for Humanity in Northeast Mississippi has been building homes for 40 years, with 140 homes built so far. The organization has had a positive impact on the local economy, adding $1.2 million. Board President, Ketra Ruff, emphasized that the greatest impact has been on families, providing them with the freedom to pursue their dreams and education. Families have been able to cut out second jobs as a result of owning their own homes, giving them the opportunity to focus on other aspects of their lives. The Northeast Mississippi chapter is just one of many in the country that helps provide affordable housing for families.
