Funeral services for MS National Guardsmen killed in crash

SUMMARY: Funeral services for two Mississippi National Guard aviators killed in a helicopter crash were announced. Chief Warrant Officer 4 Derek Abbott’s service will be on Sunday while Chief Warrant Officer 4 Zemek’s service will be on Monday. The public is invited to attend both funerals. The two pilots were part of the Mississippi National Guard and were conducting a flight when the crash occurred. There is no information yet on the cause of the crash. Abbott is survived by his wife and three , while Zemek is survived by his wife and four children. The community is asked to line Highway 178 for the procession.
