Former Noxubee County sheriff pleads guilty to lying to FBI

SUMMARY: Former Noxe County Sheriff Terry Grasser pleaded guilty in a sex scandal involving favors to a prisoner in exchange for nude pictures, lying to the FBI, and giving special treatment to the inmate. Grasser was indicted in October 2022 for lying about the relationship and could face up to 5 years in prison. Despite difficulty in finding people willing to comment on camera, there was general agreement that Grasser did the right thing by pleading guilty. He is to be on August 7th. This scandal made headlines in North Mississippi and has brought disgrace to the former sheriff's reputation.

The former sheriff of Noxubee County pleaded guilty on Tuesday to lying to the FBI about a relationship with an inmate.
