Flowood leaders name new police chief
SUMMARY: Flowood Police Department has announced that Eric Zetterholm will be taking over as the new Chief of Police. Zetterholm has been serving with the department since 2012 and has a background in law enforcement, starting in 2002 with the Hinds County Sheriff's Office. Prior to his career in law enforcement, Zetterholm served as a Marine. He will be replacing the late Chief Ricky McMillian, who unfortunately passed away after battling stage four cancer.

Cameras capturing hundreds speeding through school zones
SUMMARY: Hattisburg Police Department has introduced handheld radar cameras in school zones to catch speeding drivers. Over 400 speeding violations have been recorded in the first two weeks of the pilot program, with some drivers going well over the 50 mph speed limit.
