SUMMARY: The Hank Aaron Sports Academy hosted the Big Fantastic 44 Championship event to celebrate and showcase minority ball players. The event consisted of two teams, the Ralph Carr Road Runners and the Dusty Baker Clutch Batters, with 22 players and a few alternates selected from earlier showcases. The game featured impressive plays, including a flashy catch. Legendary Jackson State baseball coach and Mississippi Sports Hall of Famer Bob Braddy was in the crowd and emphasized the importance of getting the youth involved in events like these, as it goes beyond just a game.
