Family files wrongful death lawsuit in Hancock Co. officer-involved shooting
SUMMARY: A family in Georgia is seeking justice after their loved one was killed by a Hancock County Sheriff's deputy. The family is asking for compensation to cover medical and funeral expenses.
A family is now suing the Hancock County Sheriff's Department after a deputy used lethal force to kill a man from Georgia in December 2022.

Vancleave baseball preparing for first state title trip since 2018
SUMMARY: Happy Monday and welcome back! We're nearing the end of the 2024 High School athletic year with the baseball state championships starting this week. Representing the coast are the Van Cleave Bulldogs, who are making their first trip to Pearl since winning the 4A State title in 2018. They secured their spot by defeating South Jones for the South State title. Many Bulldog team members have played together since middle school, which they believe will contribute to their success. The team has strong chemistry and a winning mentality. Van Cleave plays Wednesday and Friday night, with the George County Rebels also competing.
It's the first trip back to Pearl for the Bulldogs since winning it all back in 2018 in the 4A title game.

Mar-Jac Poultry cited for illegally employing minors at company’s Alabama plant

Biloxi School District announces their summer meal program
SUMMARY: The Buuy School District's summer meal program will run from June 3rd to July 3rd, offering free meals to children 18 and under.
