DeSoto County Lyft driver arrested for marijuana after calling police

SUMMARY: A Lyft driver in north Mississippi was for driving under the influence of after calling to that she was being followed. When authorities arrived at the scene, they found that the driver, Michelle Baptiste, appeared to be intoxicated and smelled of marijuana. A search of her vehicle resulted in the discovery of a bag of marijuana. Baptiste was charged with DUI, possession of paraphernalia, suspended tag, and no insurance. She was taken into custody and transported to the DeSoto County Adult Detention Center.
