Deputies work to solve murder of Pelahatchie man
SUMMARY: Kenneth Lee Shoemaker of Pelahatchie was assaulted on October 30, 2023, and died from his injuries on December 7, 2023. Rankin County deputies are searching for the suspect involved in his death, with his last known whereabouts being tracked to the area of Highway 43 north of Pelahatchie. Bond has been denied for the former Jackson police officer charged with Shoemaker's murder. Anyone with information leading to an arrest could receive a reward of up to $2,500 and should contact Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS (8477).

WPPD needs help locating ATV purchased with fraudulent means

Starkville Derby helps fundraise for local humane society
