Clinton player leaves lasting mark in girls basketball

SUMMARY: Taylor Felton, a standout player at Clinton High School, has been named a Dandy Dozen three years in a row, making her the first girls basketball player to receive the honor. Despite being listed at five-foot-two, she has a big game and a proven track record of scoring 30 or more points in a game. Felton's coach, Perling Fairley, commends her work ethic and willingness to improve, making her stand out as one of her best players in her 20-year coaching career. Felton hopes to inspire other girls who may not fit the traditional mold of a basketball player. She is committed to Mississippi Gulf Coast and will play her last regular season game at Madison Central.
