BYOB: Who is in charge around here?

When I am asked to mentor entrepreneurs, I often hear the phrase: “I want to be my own boss.” Those words make me shudder. The people using this phrase have no appreciation for what it means. The only job on the planet where you can be your own boss is Evil Dictator of a Third-World Country, and that usually doesn't end well.

Being your own boss doesn't mean that you have no boss. Ironically, it means you have all the bosses. Seasoned entrepreneurs deeply appreciate that their chosen path makes them directly responsible to everyone. The “Boss” doesn't have to make any one person happy….

Columbus police investigate burglaries at Littlewoods Mall

MCSD superintendent explains impact of Inspire Act

SUMMARY: The new Inspire Act formula in Mississippi aims to improve student learning by allocating funding based on enrollment rather than attendance.
