The Boys and Girls Club of Meridian honored their Junior Youth of the Year, an event where youth from different clubs around the area are selected based on their extraordinary achievements and the impact they have made in their club and community. The Club Youth of the Year also cultivates their leadership potential. The event is one of the biggest events, where youth gather to prove why they were chosen for this honorary award. Award recipients, Cameron Smith and Karissa Cole, spoke about their motivation and achievements. The event also recognizes the leadership achievements of club youth, while cultivating their potential.

This is the highest honor a Boys and Girls club member can receive, tonight youth gathered at the Boys and Girls Club of Meridian dressed in their Sunday's best

The Jackson Prep Patriots are back in the 6A M-A-I-S baseball finals, facing off against Presbyterian Christian School in game one. The game was a pitchers' duel until late, with PCS taking a 2-1 lead in the 7th inning. However, Prep tied it up and then scored the winning run on a wild pitch in a dramatic walk-off fashion. Jackson Prep emerged victorious in game one of the finals, setting the stage for an exciting championship series.

Jackson Prep wins 3-2 over PCS in game one of the 6A MAIS Finals. Nolan Canoy scored on a wild pitch to end a thrilling game for the Patriots.

Southern Miss baseball rallies to defeat Ole Miss

The Southern Miss Golden Eagles were down 4-1 at home to Ole Miss but they scored six unanswered to get their first win over an in-state foe this season. USM extends their win streak to 8 games.
