Bomb threats reported at Jewish temples in Columbus, Tupelo

SUMMARY: There were bomb threats reported at two targets in Tupelo, including a Jewish temple. The threats were taken seriously, leading to an evacuation of the Tupelo Airport. Police performed security sweeps at the temple and cleared it of any threats. Similar threats were reported at a Jewish temple in Columbus as well. Overnight lane closure in Madison County

Wiggins firefighter pinned in fire engine accident released from hospital

SUMMARY: A fire truck crash in Wiggins injured a firefighter, who was responding to a single-vehicle accident. Around midnight, the Wiggins Fire Department's engine rolled multiple times en route, trapping a firefighter underneath. The firefighter was rescued using the jaws of life and transported to a hospital, where she has been discharged and is expected to fully recover. The person involved in the initial single-vehicle accident was also freed and was uninjured. Fire Chief Steve Purvis provided this information.
