Blitz 16 Player of the Week-Chris Hunter

SUMMARY: In the State softball championships, East Union faced off against Pisa with Miss softball Lucy Cochran leading the way. With a dominating performance, East Union held a 1-0 lead going into the sixth inning. Pisa had a chance to score, but East Union managed to throw out a runner at home plate. In the seventh inning, Marley Clayton added an insurance run with an RBI single. Cochran pitched the entire game, securing a shutout win with a final score of 3-0. East Union emerged victorious in a hard-fought matchup at the championships.

SUMMARY: Jackson Water has issued a temporary road closure on Forest Avenue extension due to repairs on a water main transmission.
