Biloxi man sentenced in murder of his father

SUMMARY: Noble Van-Leigh Marske II from , Mississippi, has pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and tampering with physical evidence in the of his father. The murder took place in September 2021 and Marske was to 45 years, with 20 years suspended, meaning he will serve 25 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections. Marske admitted to fighting with and killing his father before burying the body in nearby Hancock County, blaming his actions on meth use.

USM Army and Air Force ROTC programs host Commissioning Ceremonies

SUMMARY: Ten Army and three Force cadets from the of Southern Mississippi (USM) ROTC were commissioned as Second Lieutenants. The Army ceremony at Camp Shelby Major General Janson D. Boyles, while the Air Force ceremony on campus featured Brigadier General Mary-Kathryn Haddad. LTC Juan J. Ortiz praised the Army cadets for their leadership, and Lt. Col. Sheena Puleali'i commended the Air Force cadets for their commitment. Distinguished Military Graduate 2LT Jeremiah J. Parker expressed pride in his and future goals. Commissioned cadets include 2LT Miruna Avram, 2LT Braxton Bailey, 2LT Jada Fairley, among others.
