Interview: Mississippi Public Broadcasting is hosting a family fun day in Columbus
SUMMARY: The Columbus Preservation Society is partnering with Mississippi Public Broadcasting for a family fun day event, part of the Columbus spring pilgrimage. The event will feature over 75 activities for families and children, including STEM projects, hands-on learning tools, and career training opportunities. The event will be held this Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Mississippi University for Women's campus. It is a free event and aims to provide valuable resources to families and children of all ages. The partnership with Mississippi Public Broadcasting will help promote education in history, arts, and culture in the Golden Triangle area.

Homeowner shot after confronting teens trying to steal a car
SUMMARY: Overnight, a homeowner in Jackson was shot after confronting a group of teenagers attempting to steal her car. The incident occurred around 4:00 a.m. on Bonita Drive near Queen Eleanor Lane. Police report that one of the teenagers pulled a gun and shot the homeowner in the stomach. The victim has been taken to a hospital.
