April is Keep Jackson Beautiful Month
SUMMARY: The city of Jackson is celebrating Keep Jackson Beautiful Month, as the mayor announced today. The organization is also celebrating its 60th birthday. Various organizations are partnering with the city to keep the environment clean by hosting events where volunteers can pick up trash in different areas of Jackson. Jackson police are also increasing efforts to stop illegal dumping, including “perp walking” those responsible. The first event will be held at Tougaloo Community Center this Saturday. Everyone is encouraged to participate in keeping the city beautiful and clean.
