Sister Corps wraps up tornado relief work in Monroe County
SUMMARY: An all-female disaster relief group called Sister Corps recently completed work in Monroe County to help victims of last year's tornado. They brought 45 volunteers from across the nation to assist homeowners still in need of repairs. The volunteers helped with tasks like drywall work, building decks, and other necessary work. Sister Corps aims to help those who may have been overlooked after natural disasters, and the volunteers find the work rewarding due to the appreciation shown by the beneficiaries. Sister Corps was founded in 2017 during Hurricane Harvey relief efforts in Texas.
