Columbus City Council paves way to better city streets
SUMMARY: The Columbus City Council is planning to resurface city streets this year, with council members developing priority lists for their wards. The city will publish these lists for residents to provide feedback. The next step involves advertising for bids from contractors to do the paving, with more competition expected for the job this year due to fewer state jobs available. With a budget of about $6 million, the city hopes to address roads in all wards, focusing on those in serious need of paving. The council is set to vote on moving forward with the paving plan at an upcoming meeting.
