Salvation Army, Atmos offer assistance with gas bills
SUMMARY: The Salvation Army in Jackson is teaming up with Atmos Energy to help eligible customers pay off gas bills at their location on East Beasley Road. Funding is available to cover past due debt, deposits, and service charges until 3pm today. Atmos Energy has allocated $100,000 for the Share the Warm program to prevent people from choosing between paying bills and staying warm. Eligible residents can attend the event with a gas bill in their name, a photo ID, and must be an Atmos Energy residential customer. The event aims to create safe and thriving communities through partnership between the Salvation Army, Atmos Energy, and the community.
