Canton man pleads guilty to having sex with underage girls
SUMMARY: 27-year-old Canton man Bruce Jermal Thompson was sentenced to 20 years in prison without the possibility of early release for having sex with underage girls. Thompson fathered a child with a 14-year-old girl when he was 22. He was also accused of having sex with another girl since she was 12. Thompson pled guilty in both cases and will have to register as a sex offender for life after his release. Police found explicit text messages between Thompson and the underage girl, confirming the sexual acts. Thompson's sentence was handed down by Madison and Rankin Counties' District Attorney Bubba Bramlett.

Porch pirate wanted for stealing Amazon packages in Jackson area
