Interview: Tupelo Public School District hosting summer camps
SUMMARY: Parents looking to keep their children busy this summer can consider the summer opportunity camps offered by the Tupelo Public School District. While some camps are full, several still have openings. The camps cost $90 for the first and $70 for additional ones, running from 8 AM to 12 PM at Parkway Elementary. The initiative aims to engage children in fun, educational activities.

Man dies in fiery crash on Old Canton Road in Jackson
SUMMARY: One person died in a fiery crash in Jackson early this morning around 1:30 at Rolling Meadows Drive. A Jackson Police officer stopped a speeding vehicle on Old Canton Road, where the driver explained he was rushing to a friend's accident. The officer followed the driver to the crash site and found a vehicle that had collided with a tree. The occupant's body was pinned and severely burned. The driver succumbed to their injuries, according to the Hinds County Coroner.
