Judge denies request to push back Beth Ann White trial
SUMMARY: Beth Ann White appeared in court for a status hearing regarding the Hinds County crash that killed a mother and her six-month-old son. White's trial date of April 29, 2024, will not be pushed back despite her lawyer's request for a delay. During a previous trial, the state alleged that White's blood alcohol content level was more than three times the legal limit on the night of the crash. A mistrial was declared in November 2023 due to the jury's inability to reach a verdict. Allison Conaway and her son were killed, and her two other children sustained life-threatening injuries in the crash. White is indicted on four counts of aggravated DUI and has pled not guilty.
