Mississippi Blood Service reporting critical blood shortage
SUMMARY: Mississippi Blood Services urgently needs blood donors, facing a critical shortage. Jackson doctor helps save shark attack victim
SUMMARY: In 1994, a convict was sentenced to life for Evers' assassination. Recently, Dr. Mohammad Ali recounted helping a shark attack victim in Florida. On a sunny afternoon in Rosemary Beach, he heard screams and saw blood on the shore. Dr. Ali and another doctor quickly responded as two teenagers had been attacked. Dr. Ali emphasizes the importance of community effort in emergencies. He has since spoken to the victim, who faces a long recovery but is doing well.

Former Pearl officer who humiliated suspect sentenced
