JXN Water facing issues, including misinformation
SUMMARY: JXN Water is experiencing low water pressure due to broken water mains, private leaks, and surging water demand. They believe a deliberate misinformation campaign on social media caused a spike in water demand as people prepared for a supposed water plant shutdown. JXN Water advises people with low water pressure to boil their water before using it and clarifies that water main breaks and burst pipes in personal homes are different issues. The increased demand for water was 40% higher than usual, leading to a strain on the water supply. People are encouraged to conserve water and use it wisely.
People are waking up with little to no water pressure.
