WXXV Student Athlete of the Week: Ocean Spring’s Lucas Wrigley
SUMMARY: Ocean Springs junior Lucas Wrigley is a talented tennis player who has been playing since he was 4 or 5 years old. He has excelled in the sport and is currently No. 1 in the state for boys 16 and 18 age division. Wrigley's love for tennis has motivated him to work hard and improve day by day, even though tennis is a lonely sport that requires self-reliance. In addition to being a skilled athlete, he also has a 4.4 GPA, is a member of the Mayor's youth council, and is involved in several clubs and societies. Wrigley's dedication and talents will undoubtedly lead him to success in the future.

SUMMARY: Ten Army and three Air Force cadets from the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) ROTC were commissioned as Second Lieutenants. The Army ceremony at Camp Shelby featured Major General Janson D. Boyles, while the Air Force ceremony on campus featured Brigadier General Mary-Kathryn Haddad. LTC Juan J. Ortiz praised the Army cadets for their leadership, and Lt. Col. Sheena Puleali'i commended the Air Force cadets for their commitment. Distinguished Military Graduate 2LT Jeremiah J. Parker expressed pride in his training and future goals. Commissioned cadets include 2LT Miruna Avram, 2LT Braxton Bailey, 2LT Jada Fairley, among others.
