Rucks for Rugrats event held in Jackson
SUMMARY: The 8th annual Rucks for Rugrats event was hosted by the 5th Squad Veterans to deliver toys to the children of Mississippi Hospital. The event began as a way to do something special for children who are ill and separated from their families during the holidays. It has grown larger each year, with over 400 people participating. The event requires coordination with different organizations and groups, but it is a big relief when it is done. The hospital uses 90% of the toys donated during the event throughout the year for the children. The 5th Squad's mission is to serve and you can learn more about them on their website.
