Cicadas, cicadas everywhere: How they are helpful
SUMMARY: Cicadas are making a lot of noise near ITA Agricultural High School in Mississippi, where they are being used as an educational tool by teachers. However, for residents living near wooded areas, the cicadas' loud singing can be a nuisance. Experts say the cicadas will start to clear out in early June. Despite the annoyance, the cicadas serve as a natural phenomenon that offers educational opportunities and a chance to learn more about their life cycle. Gabe Mayor from WTV A9 News reported on the noisy bugs.
The cicadas are screaming, and though it may be annoying, one school says they are a helpful tool.

Man pleads guilty to starting fire at New Albany warehouse
SUMMARY: Eddie Greer pleaded guilty to starting a warehouse fire in New Albany in March. The fire occurred in 2019 at Thomas Wholesale Furniture. Greer was arrested in 2022 along with Steven Thomas after being indicted by a grand jury. Greer's sentencing date is unknown, while Thomas has yet to go on trial.

MCC's Brandon Dewease Talks Orientation & College for Kids
