FEMA, MEMA reimburse Amory Schools $1.5M for tornado expenses

SUMMARY: FEMA and Mima have announced that they will reimburse Amory School District over $1.5 million for tornado recovery expenses. The EF3 tornado damaged Amry High School in March, leading to the need for temporary classroom buildings. The tornado also resulted in the deaths of a father and his daughter nearby. The agencies made the announcement on Tuesday and highlighted the visible damage in a video. Despite the destruction, no one in Amry was killed by the tornado.

The district will be reimburse for tornado recovery expenses.
