Winston County Farmers Market helps people get ready for Thanksgiving
SUMMARY: In Louisville, Mississippi, the local Farmers Market was open at the Louisville Coliseum for shoppers preparing for Thanksgiving. Vendors offered fresh produce like squash, sweet potatoes, and greens. The market also celebrated “Buck Day,” an initiative to teach area youth about purchasing fresh produce and connecting with farmers. Market Manager Jean Harper emphasized the market's role in providing healthy vegetables to the community and fostering a sense of teamwork. In its 11th year, the Farmers Market continues to promote local, fresh food in Winston County, with this being the fourth annual “Buck Day.”
