A look at the Kroc Center’s Holiday Shape Up Challenge
SUMMARY: Maintain readiness with your rain gear, especially as you head into Tuesday. A coastal group emphasizes combining healthy holiday celebrations with reaching fitness goals. The Biloxi Salvation Army Kroc Center is spotlighting a program called the “Shape Up Challenge,” which encourages individuals to stay in shape during the festive season. For $25, participants receive an eight-week membership and the chance to win a family membership through a percentage-based weight loss competition. They offer 50 classes a week, including aqua fitness and yoga. The center also advises on better eating habits, and in January, they waive the $50 registration fee for those continuing the challenge.
One group on the Coast is helping you reach your goals while still celebrating the holiday season. Jaimee Dorris stopped by the Kroc Center for details.

Mom to Mom – DIY Bee Bath
SUMMARY: On today's Mom to Mom, we're making a bee bath for your garden—a fun and educational activity for kids. Bees, common this time of year, need water and can drown if it's too deep. To create a bee bath, you'll need terracotta pots, saucers, paint (like puff or acrylic), Thompson Water Seal to waterproof the pots, glue (like Gorilla Glue), and marbles. Decorate the pots, glue saucers on top, fill with marbles, and seal with Modge Podge. This project teaches kids about bees and provides a useful garden feature. Share ideas with us, and see you next time!
