Columbus settles lawsuit with man claiming he was unlawfully arrested

SUMMARY: The of Columbus settled a with a man who claimed he was unlawfully after being charged with manslaughter in connection to the of Odis Latham. The grand jury did not indict the man, Michael Guyse, and during the investigation, he claimed that violated his constitutional rights. Guyse also claimed self-defense under Mississippi's castle doctrine , saying he feared for his when Latham broke into vehicles in a parking lot and got into his vehicle. The amount of the settlement was confidential.
