Clinton Murder Trial
SUMMARY: The jury deliberated for about five hours before being dismissed for the evening due to concerns about their safety. The defense objected to this decision and also requested to pull the jury to determine their leaning. The judge denied both requests in order to avoid tampering with the deliberation process. Earlier in the evening, the judge indicated that the jury may be deadlocked, urging them to weigh the evidence and reach a unanimous verdict. The defense emphasized reasonable doubt, particularly focusing on Chateau Robinson, who was involved in a troubled relationship with the defendant. The defendant is on trial for first-degree murder and possession of a firearm as a felon. If the jury cannot reach a unanimous verdict, a mistrial may be declared.
