Annieglass founder makes stop in Jackson
SUMMARY: Annie Morhauser, the founder of Annieglass and her daughter, traveled from California to Mississippi to celebrate 40 years of their business. They hand engraved glassware in the metro area to commemorate the occasion. Jackson, Mississippi is known as the starting point for Annieglass sales, and the founder is grateful for the support from the state and its residents. The technique used by Annieglass is called slumping glass, where window glass is cut, decorated with gold or platinum, and set over ceramic molds in an electric oven. Many Lamar County School District restrooms to see improvements
SUMMARY: An event raised over $5,000 for the Lamar County School District. The district plans to use the funds, along with over $1 million, to make improvements to many of the seventeen schools in the county, including restroom renovations. Superintendent Dr. Steven Hampton emphasized the importance of creating a safe and comfortable environment for teachers and students. The district hopes to begin the project before the end of the year.

09/22 Highlights: Sumrall v. Hattiesburg
SUMMARY: The Bobcats won the game 27-6 and have held onto that win for nearly a century. It was the homecoming game for the Hattiesburg High Tigers. Tavares Wade scored the first touchdown on a 1-yard run, but the two-point conversion was no good. Anthony Ponce then intercepted the ball, followed by an 11-yard touchdown run by Tamoze Barnes. The two-point conversion was good, making the score 14-0 for Hattiesburg. In the second quarter, Tiger #2 Deuce Vance attempted a PAT but it was no good, and the first half ended with a trick play from Tamoz Barnes to Joel Vaugn for a 23-yard touchdown.
