A centuries-old historic building in Stone County is relocated
SUMMARY: A historic building in Stone County, Mississippi, known as Bethel Baptist Church, is being moved four miles down the road to a new location. The building, which is over 100 years old, has previously been used as a VFW hall and an original site for the church. The current pastor, Freddie Wagner, wanted to mix the old and the new, which is why they decided to move the building to a new location. The move was made with the help of the community.
A building more than 100 years old along Highway 26 has made many moves in its time.
