Milder temperatures return with more unsettled weather to come
SUMMARY: Central and Eastern Kentucky experienced a cold Thursday morning with temperatures in the low 20s, following Wednesday’s snow showers. Highs only reached the mid to upper 30s, but milder air is expected by Friday as southwest winds bring temperatures into the upper 40s to near 50°F. The weekend will bring rain, especially Saturday night through Sunday, with totals potentially exceeding 1 inch. Despite the rain, temperatures will remain mild, in the low 50s. Another frontal system will bring rain into early next week, with temperatures in the upper 50s and occasional showers into Tuesday.
