SUMMARY: Seeds of Hope, a nonprofit in south Mississippi, donates fresh vegetables to over a dozen local food pantries. Cole Rogers and local landowners initially created the initiative to support Seminary Baptist Church's food pantry, which has since expanded significantly. Currently, the organization urgently needs volunteers to help harvest crops, especially corn, aiming to pick about 20,000 ears per day. Besides corn, they are also growing potatoes and watermelons. Interested volunteers or food banks can learn more by texting “volunteer” or “food bank” to 61517 844 or visiting Seeds of Hope ms.org. This summer, Rogers hopes to donate 100,000 ears of corn.
