Louin residents receive support at MEMA/FEMA disaster recovery center
SUMMARY: The town of Louin, which was hit by an EF-3 tornado in June, is still recovering two months later. Survivors are continuing to put the pieces back together, with some residents facing a struggle to rebuild their lives after losing their homes. One couple, Derry and Jessie Pierce, moved to Louin in July after losing their home in the tornado. They were forced to move into a motor home but say they are grateful to still have each other. The community is slowly rebuilding, but there are still challenges ahead as services become available to survivors.
Two months since a deadly EF-3 tornado ravaged the town of Louin, residents are finally getting the opportunity to apply for MEMA and FEMA assistance.
