SUMMARY: Hotter and more humid air will be settling in for the mid-week, leading to an increase in rain and storm chances by Friday and the weekend. Wednesday will see plenty of sunshine with highs in the mid-90s. The return of moisture will push out the slightly drier air, resulting in an expanded heat advisory. Thursday is expected to be the hottest day, with temperatures well into the 90s and a heat index approaching or briefly exceeding 110°. Despite slightly receding heat levels, occasional showers and storms are still possible on Friday and throughout the weekend. The following week will see scattered storms with highs in the lower 90s.

Court upholds conviction of man sentenced in Jackson rapper’s death
