Mississippi Housing Expo held in Jackson
SUMMARY: Millennium Realty hosted the first Mississippi Housing Expo, aimed at new home buyers and homeowners. Mundy announced that this will become an annual event to inform citizens about available resources to assist in the home-owning process.

Habitat for Humanity builds homes for two Jackson families
SUMMARY: Two local families are preparing to become homeowners in Jackson, thanks to Habitat for Humanity Mississippi Capital Area and partners like Faith Build 2024. Volunteers broke ground on two homes, working on frames and other components despite weather challenges. The Jackson alumni chapter of Delta Sigma Theta also participated. Tiffany Griffin, one of the future homeowners, expressed her gratitude and excitement for having a yard for her son. Habitat's Executive Director emphasized the impact on families and neighborhoods, noting the homeowners will eventually buy the houses with zero-interest mortgages. The homes are expected to be completed in eight weeks.

Two men, dog injured in Natchez shooting
SUMMARY: Natchez police are investigating a shooting on Walnut Street that left two men, William Brose and Hunter Craft, injured. The incident occurred Friday evening, and both victims were taken to a local hospital for treatment. A dog was also hurt during the shooting. Police believe Brose and Craft were shooting at each other.
