Emergency crews in Winston County rescue victims of flooding
SUMMARY: Recent heavy rain in Winston County, Mississippi has caused severe flooding, leading to the rescue of multiple individuals trapped in their homes and submerged vehicles. The high water levels have closed parts of the main highway and prompted law enforcement to monitor the area for safety. The water has also caused hazardous driving conditions, with some vehicles hydroplaning. Although some water is starting to drain, there is still a long way to go. The Red Cross is offering assistance at the Louisville Community Safe Room, which is open for temporary shelter. Residents are asked to report any flood damage to the authorities.
