Local utility companies work to clean up after strong storms
SUMMARY: Severe storms hit the Golden Triangle area in Mississippi on Sunday night, causing power outages and fallen trees. Crews from Starkville Utilities and 4-County Electric Power Association began working early on Monday to repair powerlines and clean up debris. Residents reported power outages and damage to their property, but utility companies anticipated the outages to be short-lived. Despite the inconveniences caused by the storms, residents praised the quick response and progress made by the utility crews. Local utility companies encourage residents to report any damages they may have experienced.
