Family calls for justice in death of Mario Clark

SUMMARY: A new federal lawsuit has been filed by the family of Mario Clark, a mentally ill man who died during an encounter with Jackson police in 2019. Clark's mother had called the police for help transporting him to the hospital during a schizophrenic episode. The officers involved were fired but later had their termination reversed. The family is now requesting that Attorney General Lynn Fitch step in and prosecute the case since the District Attorney did not pursue it. Attorneys have filed a civil complaint in federal court on behalf of the family.
