Mississippi passes law banning TikTok from state-operated networks

SUMMARY: Mississippi (MSU) is blocking access to TikTok on their state-operated networks starting July 1. However, and staff can still use the app on their personal devices as long as they are not connected to the MSU network. The to block TikTok is in response to concerns that personal and data can be accessed and misused through the app. This move follows the steps taken by several other states in banning the app. TikTok has approximately 150 million American users.
