Severe weather leaves 25 injured, 1 dead in Jasper County
SUMMARY: Severe weather in Mississippi has caused one fatality, 25 injuries, 18 hospitalizations due to damage in Jasper County. A tornado was confirmed in Moss Point, with over 100 structures being damaged or destroyed, including parts of Moss Point High School. Eight people were trapped in M&M Bank but were quickly rescued with no injuries reported. The Mississippi Emergency Management (MEMA) continues to assess the damage statewide.

Gov. Reeves declares Emergency Medical Services Week in Mississippi
SUMMARY: Governor Tate Reeves has proclaimed May 19-25 as Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week in Mississippi. In Mississippi, the public is invited to honor EMS personnel at the Mississippi Trade Mart in Jackson on May 21 with a special event featuring various exhibits and demonstrations.
