Two sentenced for trafficking over 200 pounds of fentanyl through Mississippi

SUMMARY: Two have been to prison for attempting to traffic over 200 pounds of fentanyl through Mississippi. Fredy Gutierrez and Gabriel Becerra Manuel were after a consensual bus search revealed 81 bundles of fentanyl powder concealed in the bus bathroom. A district attorney stated that this was one of the largest busts in the US, not counting those on the Mexico-US border. Both men have been sentenced to 40 years in custody, with 10 years to be served without the possibility of parole or early release.
