Mississippi State’s new live mascot, ‘Dak,’ to assume duties Saturday

this , Mississippi will have a new top dog on campus.

Bully XXII, or “Dak,” will take over as the 's mascot at halftime of Saturday's spring football . Upon receiving the harness from “Jak” (Bully XXI) – who enters retirement after eight years – Dak will officially assume his sideline duties.

Crews close Jackson street due to large sinkhole

Crews are currently working to repair a sewer line on Paden Street between Cummins Street and McDowell Road after voiced concerns about the sinkhole and foul smells. Man arrested for fatal shooting on Gordon Street in Jackson
