SUMMARY: Residents in Wayne County have been without water for nearly four days. The fire department stepped in to help the community by supplying water using coolers and buckets. Bottled water was also distributed. The Hiwanee Water Association is working to fix the issue as there is a boil water notice in place. A nonprofit civil rights law firm and representatives of the federal government met with property owners and residents in downtown Hattiesburg. The Federal Fair Housing Act was celebrated and discussed along with fighting against housing discrimination. Leaders from the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development also attended the celebration.

Suspect turns himself in after escaping police custody
SUMMARY: Tarvin had a warrant for shooting into an occupied vehicle. A man who escaped custody after an apartment shooting turned himself in. The shooting happened at Pine Ridge Garden Apartments, injuring an 18-year-old who is now recovering. Amen Olu-Bala, 25, was taken into custody and faces charges of aggravated assault, shooting an occupied dwelling, and escape. The Hinds County Sheriff's Office reported the incident, where Olu-Bala escaped while being transported for questioning. He surrendered himself to authorities and is now in custody facing multiple charges related to the shooting incident.

27-year-old man arrested for three killings in Jackson
SUMMARY: Jackson police have arrested 27-year-old Jimil Tarvin for three homicides. Tarvin is accused of killing Travis Burrell, Jamie Hoard, and Nicole Garrett. The arrest was made by the Jackson police action team.

2 arrested for selling meth near church
SUMMARY: Two people, Christopher Adams and Jessica Davis, were arrested by the ATA County Sheriff's Department for selling meth near a church. Adams is charged with selling meth within 1500 feet of a church and is being held in jail without bond. Davis was charged with possession and is currently out on bond. The arrests occurred after a search warrant was executed at a home on Highway 363 in Manache. Sheriff Mitch Neighbors announced the arrests.
Two people were arrested in Itawamba County for selling meth near a church.
