SUMMARY: Dedtrick Jones, a 20-year-old man from Columbus, has been charged with shooting and killing Marvin Horn Jr. in Meridian. The shooting took place on March 10 on Mosby Road. Jones was arrested by U.S. Marshals and Lowndes County deputies, with bond set at $1 million. A video of the arrest was captured by a WCBI viewer at a Highway 45 shopping center. SUMMARY: Jackson police are investigating a shooting at the Masonic Temple on John R. Lynch Street. The incident occurred on Sunday night, with suspects driving a light-colored SUV and firing multiple shots at the building. Surveillance video captured the incident, showing a GMC Tahoe possibly involved. Shell casings from a semi-automatic handgun were found at the scene.
